Is Your Food Working for or Against You

Each bite of food that we take is the beginning of a chain reaction that moves throughout our entire body. First, we eat it. Then it breaks down into all of its sub parts: fats, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and the like. Each of those sub parts then goes on to do work elsewhere in the body, whether that be carbohydrates and the creation of energy, fats and the proper functioning of the brain, proteins and the building up of muscles, minerals and the building of strong bones, vitamins and the strengthening of our immune system, or any other number of the millions of interactions that occur in our body from one day to the next.

But what if the unthinkable happens. What if the food that we are eating is actually making our bodies inflame and swell and get sick? What then? Well, the unfortunate truth is that this is a reality for more people than we think. The wide spread effects of this type of reaction are things that we might even dare to consider normal. For example brain fog, low energy in the morning or throughout the day, not being able to sleep at night or lose weight, headaches/migraines, mood swings, digestive upset, and autoimmune issues are all examples of food sensitivity symptoms. You see our body is one cohesive machine. It interacts with every single, cell every single day. What we are eating, no matter what it may be or what we believe, is fueling those reactions.

What Can Be Done

How do we make sure to eat the right stuff so it’s really fueling our body instead of fighting it? We test. Enough of this throw-spaghetti-at-the-wall-and-see-what-sticks mentality. In order to make educated decisions about what works for our bodies we need to get educated about it. This resource page is meant for two things:
1. To teach you about food sensitivity tests and why we love them so much.
2. To help you deduce for yourself if you do in fact have a food sensitivity.

We feel that the only way to stop these fads, this inflammation, and the never-ending spending on things that don’t really help is to educate. So here we are, educating. If there is ever a topic you are interested in and want more information on, please feel free to send in a message and we will work to put it up on our blog.

Prolonged chronic inflammation, a common symptom found when the body is sensitive to food or other substances, can lead to many different autoimmune diseases.
