What is on your plate

It’s on everyone’s mind at some point during the day. What am I actually going to put on my plate? Is what is on my plate actually serving me? Is this the right type of macro nutrient (fats, carbs, proteins) break down? Will this help me get to my goals? Is this going to fill me up and keep me full? Can I actually make this in time to be out the door on time, or before my children launch a full-on riot, or before I crash so hard from my long day at work? There are a million different ways to go about putting food on our plates and even more ways to criticize ourselves over it. Everyone has an opinion and unfortunately, we are not going to be able to please everyone with what is on our plate, nor should we care enough to.

But what if there was a way to stop all the questions and personal criticisms? A way to get exactly what we wanted on our plates? A way to take the guess work out that we know would serve us and our goals? All this and still be delicious. In research conducted by Kevin Hall, a scientist at National Institutes of Health (NIH), it was found that losing and maintaining a healthy weight had more to do with finding the right diet and lifestyle for the individual than restricting calories and going to the gym.
